    Look Towards The Future

Elon Musk’s Vision: Building an Abundant Future

“We should all be concerned about the future because we will have to spend the rest of our lives there.” ~Charles F. Kettering

When Elon became the world’s wealthiest man he had already been the world’s most powerful man for some time…

This is because Elon is optimizing for his missions and not simply trying to rack up his net worth as much as possible.  If maximum net worth was the goal SpaceX would likely be a publicly traded company, rather than privately owned.

Elon owns the majority of SpaceX (54% with 78% voting control) and since he does not have to answer to investors he has more time and energy available to roll out new innovations faster.

Interestingly this is what Ashlee Vance (Author of the bestselling biography of Elon) said when Elon became the world’s richest man officially:

“When I set out to write a bio on @elonmusk, he was worth a paltry few billion. Did not really think I’d end up writing about the richest person in the world because his companies were so risky.

How many people in a similar position would take a personal fortune of $200 million and bet it all on solar, electric cars and rockets in 2001?”

Tesla and SpaceX surviving the 2008 financial crash by the skin of their teeth and rising to dominate two of the most competitive industries in the world is undoubtedly one of the best business stories of all time.

Elon has attributed his engineering mind due to the genetics and upbringing he obtained from his father.  Elon’s father is an Engineer also and Elon has explained how he grew up around an engineering environment.

Elon’s success does not surprise me, because Elon is a brilliant human being.

What others perceive as ultra risky do not understand the depths of Elon’s intelligence, his fierce work ethic, and his ability to get the job done better than anyone.

Elon is looking towards the future and planning with Tesla and Optimus humanoid robots and energy products to usher in amazing abundance for all.

Master Plan IV video explains in 1 minute 23 seconds.

As Elon plans a Starlink IPO his wealth is tracking towards a trillion USD and beyond.

    Never bet against Elon.

  • Let Your Imagination Soar

    Let Your Imagination Soar

With awe-inspiring ideas which are launching us into the future, Elon has benefited from first mover advantage in all his business ventures.

Elon even generated a massive amount of press for himself with his highly imaginative idea the Hyperloop.

The Hyperloop is Musk’s proposal for a faster new form of transportation between the Greater Los Angeles Area and the San Francisco Bay Area.

The system is proposed to use a partial vacuum to reduce aerodynamic drag, which it is theorized would allow for high speed travel with relatively low power.

SpaceX announced an open competition, geared towards university students and independent engineering teams, to design and build the best Hyperloop pod.

Then SpaceX built a testing Hyperloop rig and encouraged groups of teams from around the world to compete in 2017 and 2018.

The event was a great success.

As of 2025 the website on SpaceX no longer shows these images as they are more relevant to Elon’s business The Boring Company.

Grok Imagination is Amazing Image Visualization

However another way an Elon managed company can give your imagination a boost is Grok: Specifically, Grok Imagine.

With Grok Imagine you can visualize almost anything you can think of. Many images on Elonology.com and in the book are Grok images as well. A watermark in the bottom right corner can help you tell.

The images are very life like. Undoubtedly with progress in this area indistinguishability between Grok Imagine and real life will occur.

This is what Grok’s Imagine home page looks like currently. Every image you see is actually a short video.

Try Grok Imagine for yourself and get a better look!

  • Strive for Perfection

Only by striving for perfection can you hope to come close to achieving it.

Elon is constantly striving for perfection with his companies.

At STCP Future Fest he said:

“Aspirationally, we’re in pursuit of the platonic ideal of the perfect car.  Who knows what that looks like actually, but you want to try to make every element of the car as flawless as possible

There will always be some degree of imperfection, but we try to minimize that and create a car that is just
    delightful in every way.”

Perfection might be an impossible ideal but by striving for it you can get closer to achieving the idea.

  • Sex Sells

Elon knows that sex sells and uses this to his advantage.

Every Tesla car has sexual undertones.

Currently Tesla manufactures the model S, the model X, and The Model 3 (stylized as three horizontal lines “Ξ”), which was initially named the model E.

The letters representing the three vehicles literally spell SEX.

The sexy image in this post comes from Grok Imagine, another one of Elon’s products.

Clearly Sex Sells is a strategy Elon applies across the board as much as he can.

With the new model Y the fantastic four Teslas currently in production spell:

SEXY when lined up side by side.

And trust me: Driving a Tesla is definitely a SEXY experience.

  • Be a Voracious Reader

Elon, like many highly successful people, is a voracious reader and learner.

Elons knowledge impresses because he has read and listened to so much content over the course of his life.

You don’t know what you don’t know. You realize there are all these things out there.

One of the reasons Elon prefers reading to listening to content is because “Reading has a faster bit upload rate.

AKA you can consume more information by reading than you can by listening.

Elon was an especially excellent reader in his youth and his excessive knowledge is proof he continues his information.

Musk spent his childhood with his nose in a book. He read every book in the library then read the Encyclopaedia Britannica from cover to cover.

They’d kick him out of the book store sometimes for being there reading for so long.

If you want to know what you don’t know it’s a good idea to read up.

On a reddit AMA (Ask me Anything) Elon shared thoughts about learning:

“I think most people can learn alot more than they think they can.”

To learn more you need to read more.

One way I have been able to read more is by setting a daily page goal of 10 pages.  Often times I will read more than 10 pages and by ensuring I hit my goal of 10 pages a day keeps me learning more every day.

Another reading strategy I use is by keeping an active “Books To Read” list in my Google Keep app.  The way I work with my list is to sort the list with the books I believe to be the most valuable at the top of the list.  Then when it’s time for a new book I simply buy – or borrow from the library – the books at the top of the list.

Having a couple of books on the go at a time can help you stay engaged and eager to continue achieving your daily goal of reading 10+ pages.

It’s also important to re-read the best books you have ever read from time to time to refresh your mind with their powerful knowledge.

  • Surround Yourself With Great People

A Company is a group of people working together to create a product or service.

In his commencement speech at USC Elon Musk explained that if you are creating or joining a company the most important thing is to attract great people.

“Join a group that is amazing that you really respect or if you are building a company you’ve got to gather great people.”

For a company to be great it must be made up of great people.

With Tesla Elon says a College degree – or even high school – is not needed.

What is needed is a track record of exceptional results.  Elon is smart enough to know exceptional people do not always have college degrees.

In the past I started and grew an inspirational quotes website until we were acquired…

The most enduring and persistent quote that continually resurfaced was from Jim Rohn:

“You’re the average of the five people spend the most time with.”

Or in other words: You are the company you keep.

    So keep great company.

    Surround yourself with great people.

And give the hard working people on your teams credit when credit is due.

In conversation with Bill Gates Elon said:

“Most of the time – I get way too much credit or attention for what I do.  I’m just the visible element.  But the reason those companies are successful is because we have extremely talented people at all levels that are making it happen.”

    Gotta love Elon’s humility.

Because of Elon’s willingness to share the credit undoubtedly his employees are willing to work harder than if Elon selfishly claimed the success was all him – even though it’s clear Elon and his involvement is a massively positive vector for success.

Elon’s powerful friends and terrific teams helped make it happen.

  • Seeing is Believing

Why would Elon Musk choose to sleep on the factory floor you might ask?

Because while he was asking Tesla employees to work around the clock to achieve company goals he was right there with them.

Elon on the factory floor by Grok

    Elon leads by example.

Leading by example is a powerful way to lead.

When Elon needs to stay at a factory to get something done he stays and will get the work done.

On a Clubhouse app audio recording Elon shared how he slept on the factory floor, with the smell of iron filings in the air, because he wanted Tesla employees to see him there giving it his all for Tesla and the team…

Those who have seen Elon sleeping on a factory floor have witnessed Elon’s level of work ethos.

    Seeing is believing.

But if you see something online you should be more careful with thinking what you see happened in real life. Image in this post is made by Elon’s Ai company Grok.
